I am a college student currently home for the summer and looking to provide tutoring services to those in the Eastern NC & Raleigh area.
Just some quick info about me:
- I am a 20 year old 1st-Year Professional Pharmacy Student
- I am a product & Graduate of Wake Co. Public School System (Top of my graduating class 4.12 GPA)
- 2 years of undergraduate pre-pharmacy studies (3.6 GPA on a 4.1 Scale)
- I have 4+ years of experiences working with children and young adults in tutoring/mentor capacities
I provide services in an array of subjects. I also provide a number of different types of services including tutoring, mentoring, online homework completion and essay writing. While I do specialize in Mathematics and Sciences, I have excelled in all subjects throughout my academic career. Additionally, I am very flexible in terms of times and locations. However, I only provide services in public locations (Libraries, Coffee Shops, etc). I DO NOT provide in-home services. My services include but are not limited to the subjects listed below:

To assist you in selecting the service that best fits your or your student's needs, I have provided a brief description of some of the services I offer below:
Tutoring Services:
I assist students in catching up, getting ahead, and/or completing current assignments for classes. I create a personal study plan for each student to cater to his or her academic needs and work closely with the student and/or parent to monitor improvement and success. The overall goals for tutoring are memorizing, understanding concepts and retaining information. I also provide study sessions, study tips and memorization techniques to the student at the request of the student or parent.
Mentoring Service:
A free service I offer (at the request of the parent) to provide support and advisement for a student to promote academic success and tap into the student's full potential.
Online Homework Completion:
A service I offer where (once provided with all necessary course material) I partially or entirely complete an online course for a student. This service is for students taking completely virtual courses on sites like MyMathLab, SaplingLearning, MasteringChemistry, etc. I would create a personalized timeline/calendar and frequently touch base with the student to verify assignment due dates and homework, quiz and test deadlines. Prices for this service vary based upon a variety of factors including quantity, level of difficulty, turn-around time for work to be completed, etc. I provide quotes and price estimates after consultation via email, phone, or skype.
Essay Writing:
A service where I would write a portion or entire essay for a student using criteria provided to me by the student. Prices vary based upon length of paper, subject, type of essay, etc. I provide quotes and price estimates once all details of the assignment have been provided to me.
In terms of pricing, I am also pretty flexible and do provide services at a discount for two or more children from the same household as well as group tutoring sessions. I have provided a list of my rates below:
RATES:
Initial Consultation - $10 (20 minutes or less)
Elementary - $15/hour
Middle School - $18/hour
High School - $20/hour
College (or students working on college level coursework) - $25/hour
Travel Fee (ONLY applies to distances beyond a 20 mile radius) - $8 per additional 10 miles
*NOTE - Initial Consultation is not an actual tutoring session. During this session I will meet with the student and/or guardian to discuss a plan of action to create a personalized study plan for the student. If you decide that I am a good fit for your academic needs, the consultation fee will serve as a deposit and will be deducted from the cost of your first session.
I take great pride in my services and my essential goal in providing tutoring is to promote improvement in students. I have been in a position where I have played catch-up in a class and felt left behind. For that reason, I take my services seriously and have a genuine desire to see students conquer and overcome their shortcomings in subject where they have deficiencies. As a product of a family full of educators, I find that my passion and niche lies with giving back to others so I try to provide my services at reasonable and affordable prices.
